Two free tools that do the arithmetic for you
A vending machine is a small shop with a lock on it. These tools answer the two questions every operator asks: does this machine pay, and when do I visit each one?
Start hereVending machine profit calculator
Enter machine count, price, product cost, sales per day, commission, card fees and monthly costs. See gross, cost of goods, net per machine and per month, payback on the purchase price, and what a 20 percent sales drop does.

How the VendRoute app will work
The app is coming to Android first. It is built for the one-to-thirty-machine operator, not for enterprise telemetry.

- 1
Put your machines on the map
Each machine gets a location, a par level for every slot and a visit interval. Your prospecting list of possible locations lives next to them.
- 2
Log every visit in a minute
What went in, cash and card collected, waste pulled, a refund paid. The app fills the restock list from your pars so you load the truck right.
- 3
See profit per machine, not per route
Gross, product cost, commission and fees per machine and per location, so you know which spots to grow, renegotiate or pull.
What this site is, and what it is not
VendRoute is written by people who think vending is a real small business, not passive income. Machines need restocking, products expire, card readers charge fees, locations close, and someone has to deal with a jammed spiral on a Sunday. Our tools show every assumption so you can argue with them, and every dollar amount on the site says when it was checked. We do not sell machines, locations or courses, we have no affiliate deals with anyone named here, and we never invent ratings or user counts. Nothing on this site is legal, tax or investment advice: for licenses, permits and sales tax, use your state's own pages and the IRS, and talk to a licensed professional before you sign a loan or a lease.

Questions
Good questions, straight answers
Is VendRoute free?
The profit calculator and the route planner are free, with no account. The VendRoute app is in development; early-access members hear about it first, and we will say what it costs before launch.
How much profit does a vending machine make?
It depends on sales per day, your product cost, the location's commission and card fees, which is exactly what the profit calculator works out from your own numbers. Any single national average hides more than it shows, so we do not quote one.
Does the route planner use a map?
No. You type each machine's name, address text, visit interval and last visit, and it groups them into a printable weekly sheet with a CSV export. It runs in your browser and stores nothing on our servers.
Is VendRoute an app yet?
Not yet. The app is being built for Android first, then iPhone. The free tools on this site work today, and the early-access list gets one email on launch day.
Do you give legal or tax advice?
No. Our guides point to the official source for licenses, permits and sales tax (state revenue departments, city clerks, the IRS) and explain what to look for, but they are not legal or tax advice. Talk to a licensed professional for your situation.
Is VendRoute affiliated with a machine maker or card reader company?
No. VendRoute is an independent project by Viral Labs and is not affiliated with any machine manufacturer, distributor, card reader company, software company or trade association. When we name one in a guide, we say so on the page.
